Ghostly Figure That Accompanies House Alterations
In 1975 Barry's nine year old son ran out of his house in Sandy Lane Prestatyn calling out to his parents "there's a strange looking girl"
Barry and his family were returning home from having a day out and his son was the first to enter the room of the house when he saw the "girl".She was about nine years old dressed in what was later discovered as Victorian style dress sitting silently and motionless in one of the chairs in the front room.At his parents came in through the front door the apparition of the young girl suddenly disappeared.
This was only one of many occasions that the ghostly figure of the young girl had been seen in different locations in the house by all members of the family.Barry had seen her on two occasions in the kitchen, on the first occasion "she" had just stood there stating as if in an effort to pass through a door that was no longer there.
Perhaps the reason for this was that Barry had recently renovated the kitchen and in doing so had covered up an old doorway that had been there for many years. Was the ghostly figure of the young girl looking to go through this old
doorway that she would never find?
In another occurrence Bary and his wife sitting on the sette in the front room when they both saw her pas the kitchen door, she had also been seen on the stairs by Barry's wife who was on the telephone at the time.Barry's son had also seen her in the back bedroom in a rocking chair holding a newspaper, he said that "she had some kind of mist surrounding her."
Barry recalls that she is always around when i am making alterations to the house, especially when there is a lot of banging. The last sighting of the mysterious young girl was when Barry was pulling the old staircase up, he said that "there will be many more alterations made to the house and no doubt many more sightings of the the ghostly figure of the unknown little girl." sitting on a chair in the front room."She wasn't a normal looking girl. What Barry's young son had seen was an apparition of a young Victorian girl in period dress.
